Xin 33 about
Xin 33 (33 / Sansan) is a traditional walnut type grown in the Uyghur Region for more than a hundred years. The region’s long sunshine hours, unpolluted soils and orchards fed by glacier water produce large, flavourful nuts.
Its greatest strength is size: it is offered in 32, 34 and 36 mm+ grades. The kernel ratio is around 50 % (± 2 %), making it a balanced choice for buyers who want a large appearance at an economical price.
It is harvested in late August – early September, so new-crop shipments start early in the season. Its round, even and large appearance – and a shell that is not brittle – make it very suitable for roasted in-shell walnuts, as well as in-shell retail, gift packs and nut counters.
